The launch of the new MacBook Air in the second half of 2022 will spur sales of Apple computers, according to a new report.
Taiwanese industry publication DigiTimes reports that Apple plans to launch a new MacBook Air in the second half of 2022.
Coincides with analysts’ forecasts
Citing sources in the supply chain, the DigiTimes report states that the launch of the new MacBook Air in the second half of the year will provide an additional boost to Apple computer sales. According to DSCC analysts, the 2022 MacBook Air will be redesigned with a 13.6-inch display, an 8-core processor, and an M2 chip with a 9/10-core GPU and MagSafe magnetic charging.
Interestingly, the timeline provided on DigiTimes also coincides with the timeframe reported earlier this month by Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said in a tweet that the new MacBook Air will have a completely new design with additional color options and will go into mass production in the late second or third quarter of 2022.
